While out and about around Connecticut the wife and I stopped at this wonderful place the other day. When walking in we were greeted by a warm comfortable atmosphere and we were quickly sat in a location that we had requested on the second floor. The menu was very extensive and we ordered soup and dinner, Both are soup and dinner were absolutely amazing, both came out in a timely matter and our soup was piping hot and delicious. I had the steak and cheese which was a generous portion and the wife had the flat bread with eggplant and arugula. With drinks, soup and dinner our bill came to around $70 which I find very reasonable in today's market. Our overall experienced was excellent and I highly recommend stopping in this place if you are in the area.

Always greeted by smiling staff. The bartender was quick to get our drinks. Restaurant has a great vibe. Food is delicious. It's a "darker" dining setting in the bar area. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. The food is not only tasty, fresh, and well seasoned, the presentation is beautiful. You can have a little of everything from bar bites to full meal. The dessert menu is also amazing.

I had the beef stroganoff with schnitzel noodles and a red sauce and my wife had the Scottish salmon with mushroom risotto rice they were both delicious my wife had the baked Alaska for dessert and I had the bread pudding. Both were delicious and filling our waitress Julia was very helpful and friendly and the manager and owners really nice thank you for a great lunch.

Extremely nice and atmospheric interior, you'll feel comfortable eating here. The food was delicious, amazing burgers at a perfect portion size. Not too big, not too small, just right. The menu isn't the largest, but I prefer having a restaurant excel at 10 dishes than being sub par at 30 dishes. Staff were very friendly and personable, nothing felt rushed. Would recommend this place for any setting, business meeting, dinner date, or just friends getting together.

Love this spot. Really great vibes, food and drinks all around and a great location. Top tier chefs, bartenders and management here. The drinks are perfect every time and the beef stroganoff is to die for. INCREDIBLE spot and highly recommend.

My daughter and I love it here. I love the delusions dishes and the awesome customer service. I felt that I was treated very well especially been black, i felt very comfortable.

I had a fantastic meal at for Happy Hour! The highlight of my visit was their peach margarita—refreshing, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. It paired beautifully with my bibs salad, which was crisp, fresh, and full of flavor. I also tried the buffalo cauliflower off the happy hour menu, and it did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in just the right amount of spicy buffalo sauce. The blue cheese dressing was a perfect dip, adding a cool, tangy contrast. Can’t forget I also had a couple oysters which were fresh and tasty as well. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food—I’ll definitely be back! ** also in the picture my friend had the nachos and buffalo chicken slider.

We have been to Republic so many times for so many reasons, including, Republic at the Linden when it was open. When I say, so many times, we have literally had the chance to eat every menu option, except for the heart attack burger. I cannot recall a time where we didn’t really enjoy ourselves and the food. The ambiance is cool, comfortable, and fun. The staff, from managers to reception, bar, or wait staff, have always been great. the dining room manager also walked around and personally asked patrons if they were enjoying everything, which was a nice touch. We began the night with some cocktails, one with gin lemon and sage, which my wife apparently enjoyed too much, and a manhattan. We also had a glasses of Cali chardonnay and French Rose’ with dinner. Excellent! Last nights dinner was comprised of Blackpoint and Ninigret Oysters, the bar pretzel appetizer, the McDowell burger, and dinner specials, Prawns and Chicken Confi. The meals were awesome. And we share a bite too, so, wow!! We wrapped dinner up with espresso and dessert, bread pudding, baked Alaska, and orange olive oil cake. The desserts were devilishly incredible. We love that they have staple meals and now the specials menu. The specials menu is a great way to keep customers curious and interested, the meals we had were excellent due to their execution, appearance, and taste. Thanks for such a great experience and meal, on short notice.

Great atmosphere for a gastro pub type joint. Wide variety of food available including burgers, pasta, steak, chicken, fish, and pizza. Service was really good. Knowledgeable staff. Food was very good but not great, given the price point. Example $35 for beef stroganoff. Smash burger was good, deviled eggs were really good, calamari was adequate. With that stated, you will enjoy your meal and have a good time.
